The surrounding areas offer more than enough to look at, taste, drink, eat, or just enjoy. There are twenty five wine cellars within easy reach, a cheese factory at Bonnievale and various farm stalls where home-made products of the area can be bought. The Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve is near the romantic town of McGregor with its own potter, artists, restaurants, cellar and the donkey sanctuary, Eseltjiesrus. Robertson has a golf course and sports facilities, Montagu has its warm water springs and then there is the Burger tractor ride to the top of the Langeberg.
